Brevard Tops Florida Counties in Discount Drug Card Usage : VIERA, Fla. -- Brevard County residents have saved more than $500,000 on prescription drugs in the past five months through the National Association of Counties/Caremark prescription discount card.
The Brevard County Board of County Commissioners approved providing the free program to the residents of Brevard County in May, and the program was begun in August by the Brevard County Housing and Human Services Department and the Brevard Commission on Aging. Since then, the Brevard Card has been used by 25,000 residents to purchase over 46,000 prescriptions.
Brevard County , with a population of 550,000 residents, is the heaviest consumer of the NACo Program in the state, surpassing Broward County with a population of 1,800,000 and Palm Beach County with a population of 1,320,000. The discount card usage shows the need for this type of program in Brevard County .
The discount drug card can be used by Brevard County residents, regardless of age, income or existing health coverage. There are no enrollment fees, restrictions or limits on the frequency of use, and an entire family can use one card for their purchases. The discount card program offers an additional safety benefit feature that alerts pharmacists when one drug may conflict with another medication that was purchased using the discount card.
The NACo card helps consumers save money on their prescription medications any time their prescription is not covered by insurance, including a Medicare Part D plan. Brevard residents who are uninsured or under-insured are able to save an average of 22 percent off retail prices, depending on the drug and the quantity of purchase. Card holders can also save on pet medications through retail pharmacies.
The discount drug card program is subsidized by the National Association of Counties.

But just how the brain keeps tabs on what happened and when is still a matter of speculation. A computational model now suggests that newborn brain cells -- generated by the thousands each day -- add a time-related code, which is unique to memories formed around the same time.

Red as the blood of the Chin

Gems as Red as the Blood of the Chin

It is not my intention to trivialize the situation of the Chin people in Burma.
Their situation is one of starvation, violence, forced labor and annihilation.
The blood red rubies of Burma have been a curious “in” to this situation for me. The government of Burma has banned export of these gemstones. The rubies are a primary source of income for the Chin, and Chin rebels in that country.

Below are some links to help you understand my concerns in this situation.

1. It cripples the Chins’ ability to defend them selves. The Chin are an ethnic minority whose relegion is primarily Christian, Muslim and Buddhist.

2. The primary benefactor of this ban initially is the Chinese. They have a huge stake in the gem and mineral market world wide and have quite a cache of rubies themselves. They border with Burma. Burma also mines gold and other gemstones.

3. The gemstones are of strategic value. They are widely used as industrial gemstones in telecommunications, satellites and electronics. It forces in country development of technology, bringing scientists and resources to Burma instead of exporting the raw material for others to use.

4. There is a cholera outbreak in Burma. There has been fear that it has reached an epidemic level. There are some who say this is the reason for the Chin Diaspora. It is a situation that (as described) resembles bio-terrorism. Cholera has been a historic problem in Burma.

5. The Gems are explicitly sexual, have a frequency that heats and magnifies the blood. They are a very magnetic gem. They infuse the immediate environment with a raw sexuality. Sex crimes against the Chin are huge as the conflict continues. If indeed the cause is a contagious disease this situation is not only dangerous but insane.

6. Burma is basically a Buddhist country with inherent conflicts in managing this kind of situation.
7. If the Chinese feel that the said cholera outbreak is pan-epidemic, if gives them the possibility of moving into this situation for reasons justified by self protection.

This situation is worth tracking. It is being called genocide on one hand, and a possible pan-epidemic on the other. Please take the time to skim these sources so that you will be more informed when this story breaks in fullness.

The situation of the Chin is currently desperate. Food distribution is a primary problem as is the medicine distribution situation. There have also been reports of a bad cholera vaccine as well.

Sex and Rocks

Sex and Rocks (Alternatives to Burmese Gemstones)

I've been reading a bit about the Burmese Ruby.
Politics aside, people wear the magnetic jewelry because it invokes a certain rawness in their libido. It is as red as flame. It smells like cinnamon and resonates along the nerve that leads from the sex centers of the brain to the genitals.

Organic cinnamon oil also resonates along the same axis.

Another amazing crystal is Aphrodite.
It is as clear as cool mountain water. Aphrodite is a remarkable ice like crystal that resonates down the center of your spine to the hoo hoo boo. It also has a wicked little twisting in it that accentuates the positive and magnifies the nerve.
Such is it's resonance.

That's why the study of gemstones is so interesting.
The idea in jewelery design for some people is to put a pull on the vibrational rate of the stone and setting so that it vibrates like a targeted cell phone on a part of your body or brain.

Anything is like that.

I have a rubber cake spatula that sympathizes with my big toe.
If I wore it around my neck, I would create a link between my tootsie and upper torso.
It might relax or tense those muscles depending on it's resonance.

I favor a utilitarian sort of jewelry when I wear it. I like bloodstone. It works for my circulation and glands. Garnets are my birthstone. They help with my heart and focus. Obsidian vibrates with the throat and has a wonderful calming impact on my heart.

On that note, I'll leave this subject and return to my narrative.

SIGNUP CUTOFF DATE ANNOUNCED
FOR TWO KEY FARM BILL PROGRAMS

COCOA, Fla. – Brevard farmers, ranchers and grove owners may be able to receive financial help in fighting Brazilian pepper, irrigating ditches, and securing clean water sources through two farm bill conservation programs of the United States Department of Agriculture.
State Conservationist Carlos Suarez of the USDA -Natural Resources Conservation Service has announced Friday, February 27 as the cutoff date for applications for the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) and the Wildlife Habitat Incentives Program (WHIP).
Local priorities for these programs include exotic/invasive plant control, water quantity protection, and water quality protection. Brazilian pepper is the most significant and costly pest in Brevard agriculture, and is the first priority to be addressed. Water quantity protection including ditch irrigation, pumped storage, pumped discharge, and surface water control are all critical and are the second priority. The third priority is securing good clean water sources for citrus irrigation, sod irrigation, and cattle.
“In these difficult times, this program is intended to lend a financial hand to those who are serious about putting conservation to work for them, as well as yielding a positive environmental result for everyone,” says district conservationist Dave Millard.

Local priorities are defined by a working group made up of Dave Millard, Natural Resources Conservation Service district conservationist; Ken Windsor, USDA Farm Service Agency county executive director; Bud Crisafulli, chair of the Brevard Soil and Water Conservation District; and Jim Fletcher, Brevard County Agriculture & Extension Office director.
EQIP and WHIP offer financial and technical assistance to install structural and management practices on eligible non-federal lands to address natural resource concerns and wildlife habitat restoration. Conservation treatment activities for EQIP and WHIP are carried out in accordance to a conservation plan that is developed with the landowner or manager.
State-wide priorities for EQIP include erosion control, water quality, water quantity, animal / plant health and confined livestock operations. Priorities for WHIP include habitat restoration on scrubby flatwoods, pine rocklands, tropical hammocks, and native grasslands for bobwhite quail.
For additional details on these Farm Bill programs and for specific eligibility requirements to participate, contact Dave Millard at 321-633-1702.
