Silver isn’t the safest anti-biotic on the market for a number of reasons.
I’ll get a few things out of the way right from the giddy-up.
Silver is not the greatest metal for strength. It is very brittle. It has an extremely low melting point. As a result solid silver wire, for instance is rare. It breaks, melts and dissolves.
The wire is usually mixed with nickel or lead to increase strength.
If the source of the silver in colloidal silver is an electrified wire or even a silver brick there is a chance that there is some lead in any electronic silver infusion. What good is an anti-biotic that gives you dementia? I'm not sure how much lead transfers. It's just a thought.
Sterling Silver is deadly if infused or eaten. That ring may make you lolly-gag and forget your name. The silver spoon you are use to sucking ice cream off of is potentially deadly. How much Sterling Silver does it take to kill you? I don't know. That necklace around your neck in a high electronic atmosphere could infuse a toxic steam into you that would turn you blue and poison you. It could kill you.
How much?
Is it dangerous?
Is it containable?
There have been nine deaths due to over-use of silver. The famous blue man, the man that turned blue from his silver use is an example of the disease that kills people. The blue man looks like the El Greco guitar player in the famous painting. He is very blue. He spent some time on a tanning couch under ultra-violet rays to get that way. To get bluer than the Atlantic Ocean between here and Europe.

You can make silver safe enough to use.

It seems to me that a lead trapping diode is a simple solution for most silver water generators and products.
In 1999 when the Food and Drug Administration first banned colloidal silver as a medical product, it admitted that it did not have the data base to justify the ban. In a letter written under the Freedom of Information Act they detailed the lack of information on the subject.

It is tucked neatly away in an agriculture bill. It's under toxic pesticides.

2. The Silver Bullet
Silver kills bacteria.
I’d say that silver kills all bacteria but in recent history there has been an increase in a strain of silver resistant bacteria.
All in all silver is very effective against bacteria.
That is all bacteria except bacteria with a motive. Or bacteria that wants to live.
This is not unusual.
All our anti-biotics are becoming less effective. The bacteria are now developing resistance to all anti-biotics. Bioterrorists love that.
The bacteria are winning. They are as resilient as cockroaches.
Bacteria develops defenses. Our anti-biotics are not flexible enough to deal with the changes. They need to evolve with the bacteria.

We need to be continually developing new antibiotics.

At this writing we are in an elevated national security alert.

The truly awful MRSA fungus is showing up in public schools.
We are living under the threat of more terrorist attacks on U.S. soil.

Threats predicting attacks have been numerous and intense in the last three months.
Bioterrorism is a national concern.
Bio-terrorism happens. It is not a far off senario.

I am confused by this legislation limiting the uses of collodial silver.

It cuts off cheap options for an effective anti-biotic/anti-fungal for medical emergencies, bioterrorism, or near pan-epidemic situations.

My life was probably saved by an experimental vaccine or a negative ion infusion. There were over 800 other people in my condo complex. We shared a central air conditioner. Postal workers and transportation personnel were exposed to the anthrax.

High density negative ion generators seem to be the most likely reason that a much larger crisis didn’t happen. I had several in my condo at the time to help me with allergies, asthma and sharpen my cognition.

Like ultra-violet light, negative ions kill bacteria like anthrax.

I supplemented to kill bacteria and buck up my immune system.

Why is the ban even being considered at this time? Why was it buried in this bill? Some of the congress people involved are said to have accepted money from big pharmacutical companies.

There are large contributors to political organizations whose background and affiliations need to be check out.

3. Silver Was Slower Than Tonto’s Horse Scout and Clumsier Too…
Silver is certainly not alone in a generalized attack on available supplements on the market. The suggestions to limit products have include supplements that are clinically effective in making the immune system stronger and other common anti-bacterial and anti-fungal remedies.
I use silver.
I like silver oxides. You can get the cheap little tubes at drugstores.
The silver goo seems safer to me than electric silver infusions.

How do I know it's safer? I don't.
I will continue to make silver water when I can find a safe source of silver to use as base.
As you may know from reading this blog I have worked for over twenty years in the sex abuse field with both survivors and perpetrators.

Because people are resistant (Over 80% of sexual assault survivors do not report the crime to the police, according to the United States Justice Department) to getting proper medical help let alone reporting crimes to the police, community support is vital. Strong women’s organizations and churches have always kept solutions handy in order to help when the situation falls outside of the box. Silver is a very common solution for long term or terminal illnesses.

I view the right to supplement and to treat myself for both prevention and comfort vital to my overall medical rights and situation. I support the liberal use of pain medication for the terminally ill. Choosing a pain free oncologist is very important to some people who face death on a daily basis for real. people with cancer or AIDS for example.
I’m just that way. Pain hurts.

I hate that.

Civil liberties from my point of view are the only thing worth fighting for.
The right to choose a legal path in basic issues such as self-care is essential to me in terms of my my overall rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Smoking tobacco is legal in the United States despite the fact that it is an addictive stimulant and causes a variety of health problems. The problems are mighty ones. They include terminal cancer and respirtory problems.
So far the U.S. has bowed to the doctrine of informed consent on tobacco.
It has focused on education as prevention instead of criminalizing it and removing it from the market.

The right to supplement under informed consent is the primary issue from my point of view. Safety issues in supplement production are my only concerns at this point. I like good research. I like to know the parameters of what I am putting in my body for cause.

Stupidity has no cure except education.

There is not much time on this one.

Please Contact Your Congress People If You Are Concerned About Silver and Dietary Supplement Issues. Please give some thought to natural disasters, bioterrorism and household mishaps. I'd like to have the option of having some in my backpack or car for nasty or possibly nasty infections. I'd like to have it as an option for infections that don't go away.
