DMGing The Brain And Body
Dimethylglycine or DMG as it is commercially known is one of the odder cookies in my cookie jar.
I picked DMG up at my local health food store a couple of years ago. It is a cognitive enhancer.
I used it on and off.
I seem to always come back to it like a dependable tool.
I have a wicked ADD condition which is foamed over my psychology like whip cream. That’s on top of an autistic sundae of perception. My wild mind is already preconditioned to an expanded detail that overwhelms my senses and tosses my thoughts like peanuts on ice cream. The cherry at the top is the toxic damaged I picked up in Hawaii.
DMG is the thing I use instead of stripping screws when I get fatigued, dull or blank.
The other steady smart drug in my healing efforts is DMAE which sharpens focus. It also repairs brain damage, increases language retention and skills by inserting spaces between words and hardening consonants. It has a slightly stimulating effect, like two good cups of Hawaiian coffee.
DMAE is a diuretic and brain detoxer. . It increases intelligence by 30 percent. It metabolizes into H3, one of the most powerful memory enhancers for people dealing with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.
It comes in liquid and pill form. It also comes in the form of a topical lotion because it reduces wrinkles.
That’s the kind of smorgasbord of effects I like in my smart dugs.
I have my needs and I do a lot of research.
I read about DMG awhile back. . It interested me because it was another well researched “smart drug” or cognitive enhancer. It affects the frontal lobes of the brain. Back brain focus is a cultural phenomenon as far as I can tell. Most of the world is there. Americans have a bias for the fore-brain. In the East, Africa and the Pacific Basin there is a back brain or “both” bias for cognition.
They are very different forms of focus and ways of seeing things.
. DMG, as I mentioned, creates a front brain focus and is slightly stimulating.
That was enough to get me to try it. It comes in pills, sublingual pills, and liquid format.
I find it relaxing.
I like liquids and things that slide under or melt on top of the tongue like chocolate. Chocolate is also a cognitive enhancer and is similar to DMAE in that it impacts endorphins, language and sex drive. I saw a big pile of chocolate at a post Christmas sale yesterday and went for it like hotly twanged arrow.
DMG is on my mind this week because there is a new product on the market. It now comes in a topical lotion. There is an increasing movement to provide supplements to come in a highly absorptive cream. The trans-dermal approach to using substances is something I will talk more about at some point.
Things smooched on the skin are very sensual. I will say that. Feeling them absorb and be taken into your bloodstream is an amazing thing to go with.
The other thing I like about DMG and DMAE is the impact is almost immediate if taken right. DMAE usually takes a long time to metabolize.
