Summary: It’s not Chocolate
I used to chase the mosquito fogging truck in Puerto Rico, where I was a third, fourth and fifth grader. It was called “Smokey Joe” and layered out a thick white fog behind it as it moved at about five miles an hour through the neighborhood. A lot of us did that. It was like cloud walking. The military police that trailed Smokey Joe in their blue pickup trucks lazy twirled their red cop lights into the fog. It scrimmed the area red. It was an eerie flip over for a little angel caught in the devils wind.
I researched it a couple of years ago. The Air Force did not use DDT in the base housing areas during that time periods. I still need birth control.
We didn’t listen to anyone then. It was summer in summer land. After dinner we were out the door into the maze of hedges, on the streets and cliffs above the ocean and all over the place.
We played in the flooded streets during the monsoons too, the brown waters lapping at our doorsteps.
I think it was in that first year that I met some of our neighbors.
They spoke Puerto Rican more than English.
There was Humberto and his little sister, who was two or three years old.
We were talking.
Someone offered Humberto’s sister a cat turd.
He held it in the palm of his hand. It was brown as a Tootsie Roll.
Humberto held his breath.
“It’s chocolate” the boy said.
The little girl looked at it.
“No” she said. “Es caca.”
“No” the boy insisted. “It’s chocolate.”
“Es caca” she said.
They did not play with us again and oved shortly afterwards.
The Broadband Becomes As White as Smokey Joe
I came across the two news stories below this week. I had some questions about them.. They are about opening a broader spectrum of frequencies to the public, so that more people have greater access to the internet and information.
I am all for that. The novelist in me works overtime though, he/she or it likes to thicken plots.
One of the things I have been talking about quite a bit is in this blog isVibrational Medicine.
That is that everything that is, vibrates and has a frequency.
Things can be activated or shut down based on the phase of those frequencies, the combinations they come in and the wave form that organizes them.
You can open up or close down organs and circulation as well as activate glands and deactivate viruses and diseases. It’s clear that what is called “Rife Frequencies," as flawed as they are, may be a cure for the herpes virus. If used correctly they may fulfill the Star Trek model of a sonic medicine. The salt shaker Dr. McCoy used to hold over people while the sound oscillated at various speeds may very well be the tool of the future. I see a future where a doctor greets you with an electronic cello instead of a stethoscope or twaps a tuning fork and sticks it up your nose instead of taking your temperature.
He or she gives you sound advice.
I am curious about what I would call bio-available frequencies, that is electronic frequencies at phase that are harmonic and distonic with the body and environment. We know that binaural sound has a dramatic impact on the body and mind. Trinaural and pryamiding frequencies also have impact. A broad band system with infite possibilities and combination of possibilities presents problems and opportunities of a large degree.
Along with the opportunities to educate and liberate, there is also the possibility of sabotage and harmful manipulation.
In the 1920s the Fisher Radio Company began mapping frequencies and the impact on the human body. It is from that research that radio stations were assigned their frequencies. The harmful frequencies were not assigned.

My concerns are in the area of vibrational and environmental impact.
It has always been the Federal Communications Commission’s job to monitor these frequencies for the impact they might have on humans. That duty should extend to the animals, physical environment and atmosphere as well.
It’s hard to say much about will happen and who will be involved.
Despite the Big Island experiments of a decade ago in Hawaii, there are still areas that are basically unknown iareas in the science of radionics and broad band broadcasting. We have never used a saturation frequency before.
Like many people in my culture we have been brought up to believe that the fundamentals of creation are in the sound. In the beginning there was the word.
Then came editors.
Being vibrational sensitive I think about these things.
I am also concerned about privacy and civil liberty issues as we all become more vibrationally accessible, as we define ourselves in the electronic environments we hang out in.
As you know I feel this is a national security nightmare.

A Pocket Full of Poison
This is just a small addendum to the madness I’ve been describing around the tainting of my food. Someone was putting crap in my curry and it wasn’t me. It was a toxic shooter to the already deadly carpet fumes and anthrax that I had been cursed with earlier in the year.
My enemies were in my face on my spoon.
The evil rose like mercury in a thermometer in the ass of a turkey in the oven.
These food fights are annoying enough. There was never any peace. The unknown nasty crackers who were doing this to me were with me twenty four hours a day. Every time I took a drink out of the bottle they pissed on me.
My fiancée looked at me with pity. She shook her head.
She survived the Mexico City bombing (as she said) or earthquake in the 1970s. People were eating hubcaps off of smashed automobiles during that crisis.
“I’ve had worse” she said. And you know she had.
It’s such a basic thing, the trip to the refrigerator to find something to eat.
When it is messed with it completely changes your world. Your shopping habits and your sense of safety get scrambled up like duck eggs.
It is a basic and insidious form of intimidation.
Your jelly isn’t safe in its jar.
It teaches you that your castles are made of Play Dough.
You live in a condo with walls as thin as Japanese paper. Everyone has a key. Or a match.
· You begin to hate leaving home and become isolated.
· When you do go shopping you buy only what you need.
· You pack up the basic vulnerable items and take them with you. With tremendous malaise you leave the pickle in the jar and the R.C. in the can.
· You are more aware of tastes, sensation and smell in the things you leave behind.
· You have a heightened awareness of both evil in the world and the fragileness of human existence. Every bite bites you back.
· You learn in the most basic of ways to watch your back and cover your ass.
· You start buying lemons and lemon juice because they can detoxify most poisons. You have to look at the skins for needle marks of course if I read my spy novels correctly. They could be vaccinated with Chernobyl Vodka. I had just about enough of vaccines, too.

I suppose some of those changes are positive.
You end up appreciating things more.
I look at the above list and think to myself; “Hey, for the most part this is a better way to live, except for the flashbacks, fear and hyper-vigilance.”
Freedom, as the band the Who sang, “Tastes of reality.”
The freedoms I’ve know usually tastes like they belongs there. In this case, freedom tasted like roasted poop on a stick with a hound dog glaze.
I thought of the book “Green Eggs and Ham” by Dr. Seuss.
I do not like this. Sam I am.
You also have to be aware of tainted health and beauty products, particularly those products that deal with the eyes, mouth and lungs. There are many things that can be squeezed into your toothpaste and dumped in your mouth wash.
This all may sound paranoid to the extreme to you, but in 1998 I was just beginning to learn about the cloud I lived my life in. The safety I had created had the quality of a daydream. The rules I lived by were as arbitrary as the trade winds in late summer and so were the institutions I depended on for justice, safety and ethical reinforcement.
I could get hurt.
That was some kind of news for a mother’s son.
It was a grand pain in the ass.

Poison

The Twelve Tastes of Poison

Poison is a remarkably evil form of murder.
It has a cast of ancient or medieval witchiness about it. It is alchemy gone twisted bizarre. It is nurturing turned inside out as the art of cooking becomes sinister. It’s the most premeditated of crimes.
Anthrax exposure and the earlier exposure of people to a toxic work environment are examples of the extremes of this story. To knowingly send people into a hazardous environment or situation takes a kind of denial or stone cold narcissism that is hard for an ordinary person to imagine.
People can be damned malicious.
I wrote a couple of days ago that in Hawaii I was poisoned at least nine times. But the truth is it has been more. If you find this fact hard to believe then the rest of this story will not make any sense to you.
Toxic substances, from cleaning fluids to HIV laden body fluids are simple enough to mix into somebody’s drinks or food. It’s like date rape drugs. They go down easily and do their damage without much of a whisper.
In my own case, I have survived an attempt to chemically castrate me. It took me about a year and a half to recover from that one. I can talk about the opposition to an inter-racial relationship as the reason for that, or the more traditional desire to unman a perceived powerful adversary, to make him less of a man.
In civil rights cases or revolutionary political situations this is common.
My case has elements of both.
Though I would never claim folk hero status, the situation was open enough and talked about enough to involve more than one issue. It involved sexual assault in the community, the toxic environment, RICO activities and technological advantage protected like secrets to stop others from competing with the power base in the small town.
My food has been pissed it, fecal matter and bugs have been thrown into it like seasoning, and other more traditional poisons, including snake venom has been used to either build up tolerance for poisons or as poison itself.
Despite this, eating has remained one of the great joys of my life.
I’m very interested in ingredients and their impact on biology.
I have worked my whole life on finding the right dietary combinations to help me deal with the ADD and autism I talk about. I like the impact of cooking on romance, libido and energy as well.
I try to taste everything as well as smell it.
It is a grand meditative tradition, contemplative cookery.
I am no super sloth like Sherlock Holmes. I make mistakes. I may very well die from one of my mistakes. But there it is. Despite the denial food is one of the things I have to deal with.
It’s insidious, because carefulness with food can seem pathological to people eating pepperoni pizza and joking about the weather.
“What’s wrong Mike?”
I may be looking at a slice of pepperoni like it has been dyed (it probably has) with a deeply cancerous red dye and sprinkled with fat that is laden with embalming fluid and hormones.
Like most people I am usually in denial about this sort of thing.
In this country people do not like being reminded that they are killing themselves with mutated chemical wastes.
It’s a party for Christ’s sake. Enjoy.
I am not one to lecture someone about their diet or dwell on contents that are fused into the food by corporate coop. There is something innocent about murder by cup cake. It takes a long time and a lot of cup cakes. You enjoy every bite and lick the icing off your upper lip like it’s the elixir of the Gods.
Certain Cola’s will take the rust off bolts.
I like that cola.
It’s a paradox.
My doctor tells me a single grain of salt can kill me.
Our bodies is the very temple of God which we gaudy up with tinsel and poison to make ourselves feel good for the seconds it stings the tongue with pleasure and becomes part of the slabby fat that festers in the walls of our temple.
Hey dude. It’s my temple.
Yes. It is.
So when I tell you my stories believe this much. Some substances will kill you. Some people will give you those substances without much thought, especially if they want to make you sick or dead.
It may be intimate but it is also has a cold distance to it.
It is murder just the same.

I had to report these crimes to the police. The last time the officer did not take a sample because the city did not have the forensics to chemically analyze it.
We should fund that.

MULTI-PURPOSE SURF REEF FEASIBILITY
PRESENTATION SCHEDULED


VIERA, Florida – In response to significant community interest, Brevard County commissioned a feasibility study for constructing multi-purpose surfing reefs to reduce beach erosion, improve surfing conditions and increase associated recreational opportunities. Study results will be presented to the public on Wednesday, November 19 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Florida Room at the Viera Government Center , 2725 Judge Jamieson Way , Bldg C, Viera.
Presenters will include Michael Walther, P.E. of Coastal Tech, with over 30 years experience in coastal engineering and management in Florida , and Mike Slotkin, PhD of Praecipio EFS, an economic, financial and statistical consulting firm. Coastal Tech led a collaborative effort of five firms to examine the engineering and economic aspects of the proposed project. Additional firms who contributed to this study include ASR America, Continental Shelf Associates, and Surfbreak Engineering Sciences.
The study began with a literature review of all existing surf reefs constructed or under construction. The literature was supplemented with interviews of people in Australia , New Zealand , England and California who were directly involved in the planning, design, construction and/or management of similar innovative reefs.

Coastal Tech led the team in identifying and ranking optimal reef locations in Brevard County . A reef configuration, refined by ASR America, was selected by the team for the purpose of analyzing its potential for Brevard County . Surfbreak Engineering performed a wave analysis to predict the number of additional surfing days per year that could be generated by the reef. Continental Shelf provided a preliminary assessment of environmental impacts pertinent to federal and state permitting requirements. ASR America contributed to an opinion of probable costs; Coastal Tech estimated erosion control benefits; and Praecipio analyzed recreational benefits. Coastal Tech concluded with a Benefit/Cost analysis and review of federal and state cost-share eligibility.

The cost of the team’s engineering analysis was split between the Brevard County Board of County Commissioners and an innovative technology grant from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. The Covered Virgin Of Guadalupe

It was 1998.
The circuits had been crossed in my little luxury condo the same way they had been crossed in our little green plantation house. The electrical intensity was less. Instead of the bristling anger caused by the high voltage, the atmosphere was subdued, like a narcotic drip into an intravenous needle into the arm.
I was sluggish and thick-lidded.
I felt depressed.
But I wasn’t alone.
There was the incessant clatter of other voices congregating around the refrigerator and toaster.
David Wang, the playwright best known for his Ms. Saigon, described a similar situation in "1000 Airplanes on the Roof." "The Bee Hive” in his libretto for the Philip Glass opera or multi-media event was a similar conundrun of voices buzzing bee-like in his honey comb brain.
In my review of the opera, I went to great lengths in what is probably the worst lead of my career to describe a person hanging out by the cement pond , Beverly Hillbilly's like, (I said) as a spinning, neon threaded disc descended. There was no time to gee-gaw. It kidnapped him.
“1,000 Airplanes” is the best play on PTSD or trauma I’ve ever seen.
It deals with the dilemma of telling other people what has happened to you, an event so overwelming that you can barely describe it to yourself. I've talked about it before
I'm not sure how.
All I knew was that I was going to Federal Court with my issues, neon and all.
I was aware that judges are seldom poets in thier black gowns. They are not therapists. They are into the tittles of how a train jumps tracks, in what place and manner, and to what consequences.
It was not about one train anymore. The terminal had been kidnapped by aliens. It was raining trains.
My police officer friends were much the same as the judge.
They were not interested in commentary.
When I wore the name tag in my profession, I was a community member in a respectable position. I accessed crisis needs for the police. In a small town like Wai’anae, their biggest problems were things like prisoner transports of the mentally unstable and in cooling domestic violence situations after the event.
When I wore the name tag I dealt with cocaine and ice smoking rage addicts with shotguns. I picked-up teens that were just released from jail after letters of apprehension were served or who were found with guns in thier pajamas, dugs, or stolen objects.
Those exchanges were predictable. You got the beep. You did the call.
You did what you were asked to do and winged the rest.
Without an embossed tag, I was just another person with a crazy story.
I lacked a role to hide behind.
Instead of responding I was seeking response.
By then I wasn’t dressing as well.
I needed a haircut and I wasn’t doing the police department any favors by calling them.
I looked like every other crime victim, stunned stupid by events.
In a stunned state I was easy to deceive. Most people are after a trauma.
My apartment telephone was on a closed circuit.
My 911 call was intercepted. An operator from what was identified as Frontier Communications answered the phone and directed it.
I had a fake cop respond on 911 call.
He had a faded uniform and needed a haircut. He had sideburns from the late 70s and it was 1998.
He actually had fingerprint powder in his car. He left me to go get it. When he returned he had what looked like an olive jar.
It said, “Finger Print” powder on it in big black letters. It was generic, not brand Fingerprint powder. It said what it did on a plain white label.
It had fingerprints all over it.
He dumped the powder all over the tile counter and left the jar in a pile of gunpowder when he left.
Before he sauntered out the door, I finally got him to take a sample of what ever I was dosed with from the refrigerator. It was a Coke with some kind of narcotic in it.
It had smelled funny. I took two tiny sips to identify it and ended up going down like a roller coaster into sleep.
It had knocked me out for about 48 hours, in which time my former fiancée was assaulted.
I didn’t find that out until later.
Her apartment was trashed when I came looking for her.
She was gone.
The place smelled like gym.
The Virgin of Guadalupe on the wall was covered with a thrown sheet.
The man who played cops and robbers was probably a security guard or private investigator. I had seen them before. They hired people to do the parts. The fake detectives were also guilty of sexually assualting people on the highway or beach.
This one actually turned in the sample to the police department.
It was heavy with the sweet smell of codeine. Two small sips were enough to knock me out.
If one of the kids or I had taken a bigger sip or drank half a can we'd be dead.
I was aware that there were a series of pharmacy robberies reported in the previous months.
The primary goal of the robberies had been codiene and morphene, though perscription electrical brain stimulators were also stolen.
This hooked into several other crimes I had become aware of. The problem with being disabled was you hung out all day. With time on your hands you became more aware of where you lived and what wa s going on around you.
I prefered working all day and coming home exaughsted.
My situation got worse.
Someone had tried to run me off the road. My car was shot at while it was at the beach. To taop it all off, I had been poisoned at least nine times. I was beginning to get the hang of things.
Someone was trying to tell me something.
I had become very careful with things that could be poisoned.
The drugs were of various kinds.
Someone, evidently trying to help me, had left three coke cans neatly lined up in the refrigerator in the previous month.
The first was closed.
The second had the tab pushed back.
The third had the tab replaced so it looked normal.
I had been tipped off about a way to make an open can look new and unopened.
I sipped and smelled things before I drank them.
I followed my pharmacist’s advice to the letter.
“When in doubt, throw it out.”
The chili in my apartment was also laced with codeine as was the chili in my fiancée’s apartment.
She had three kids, two of them disabled. If a child had drank the entire coke he or she would be dead.
I knew it. I worried.
All notions of a friendly dispute resolved in court were gone. I was in a lunatic situation. There was noone to talk to about it.
All of a sudden it was espionage and organized crime tactics.
I didn’t know where it was coming from.
I did know that initial problems occurred because my girlfriend was Latina and of mixed racial heritage.
There were some that did not approve and they let us know.
She was Indian, French, Italian and African though her skin tone was whiter than mine.
I am Italian-American.
When we first started dating she wore a lot of white powder on her face like a mime so we’d be the same color. She was a good deal lighter with the white pancake flake on.
It bothered me.
In bed one night I said, “Honey, look” comparing thighs, “You are whiter than I am.”
It took her a long time to accept the fact.
She had a wonderfully dense accent and worked hard on her vocabulary. She read voluminously in English and Spanish and always had her dictionary with her.
Like me, she was late in learning to speak. She was silent until about age 5. She was hearing impaired. Her mom, a school teacher, taught her to talk with marbles in her mouth so she’d speak clearly.
I never fully understood that one.
When I did it to learn to speak clearly again I sounded like I had marbles in my mouth.
She spoke very well and was always my best teacher.
But it took her awhile to get this simple fact. She knew a lot more about racism than I did.
With her I had discovered certain attitudes towards Latina that I never knew existed. I noted it.
In 1998, things were as strange as they could be, in attitude and danger and in culture.
I was learning as fast as I could.
Like in “1,000 Airplanes on the roof” I was having to talk about UFO like events to people concerned about fresh fish and poi.
I had to communicate.
Poisoned with toxins, anthrax and poverty O kept things to myself, feeling more and more distant from my community and neighbors. My brain was fudge.
I didn’t know what to do.
Thank God people did.
One officer on another 9-11 called subdued his disgust and sat down at the kitchen table with me.
“When you are in doubt about the legitimacy of an officer in the field” he said, “ask him or her if they are on or off duty. Look at the uniform and the grooming. Look especially at the belt and what has been issued. Look at the name tag.”
He pointed to the gun, the ammo cartridge, baton and gun.
If doubt continues call the supervisor.
In Los Angeles the previous week, someone, pretending to be a police officer was shooting people on the interstate and exchange.
The Chief of Police there had suggested slowing down, putting the blinkers on and proceeding to the nearest police station as a suggestion.
Nothing was as it seemed. Thought before action were required. Stepping away from conditioned responses was highly recommended.
I had to regroup.
As the Firesign Theatre used to sasy, “Everything you know is wrong.”
